Good Judgment

Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love Burt’s POV and how he sees the relationship between Kurt and Blaine.

This was a different kind of tense; he had never spent that much time on his clothes just to wear around the house, for one thing, and it wasn’t until he realized how often Blaine was in-and-out of the house or Kurt was at his or out for coffee or plays or whatever that he realized that Kurt was staying dressed-to-impress, all the time, just in case Blaine showed up. Blaine kept showing up more and more around mealtimes, too […] without Blaine, they talked about work and school and any gossip the kids brought home, but when Blaine was around Kurt wanted to talk about art, or music, or something he’d just read in the New York Times.

This is so canon, seriously! I also loved the scene when Burt saw them together through the window and how Carole calmed him down — it definitely rings true to me. And then the last scene in the kitchen was just so lovely and, as Burt said, easy and those are the best relationships, when you’re just so comfortable together and it just works. I love that Burt realizes the change, sees how Kurt has relaxed around Blaine as opposed to his initial need to impress and how that made all the difference. ♥♥
