So weird, I thought I’d rec’d this fic before (because I definitely remember reading it and going, Oh, my heart!), but apparently I haven’t (which probably explains why I still have this tab open, lol). Anyway, this was so lovely and heartbreaking and I love how the theme of the rain is reoccuring throughout the fic. Also, the ending was just so beautiful and hopeful. ♥ (There’s a sequel too, Halfway Out the Dark, which is nice, but I didn’t like it nearly as much as I like this one.)
