There seems to be a pattern which he at the time found curious but which now makes sense – Kirk would be arrested, released, and then arrested again within a week of the first arrest. The second arrest almost always involved a charge of vandalism to McKabe’s car. One arrest warrant cited the disappearance of exactly one half the car – the back half – and its subsequent reappearance on the roof of the police station. In all cases, the charges were never substantiated.

But this time, it’s Spock who arrested Kirk, and Spock who will release him. He’s almost impatient to find out what will happen next.

OMG, ALL THE FEELINGS! ♥♥ Seriously, this is pretty much the greatest, I was so hooked the whole way though. I love the idea of Spock becoming a detective in another life and how he ends up in Iowa and meets Jim. I love the interaction between the two of them in the beginning and The ridiculously subtle pining thing Jim has going on because it was so endearing even if Spock is slow on the uptake, lol. And then there was the second half after Iowa and it was amazing and then how it all ended up in the climax and seriously, my heart! I’m not even gonna lie, the whole first half of the epilogue had me totally sobbing because there were just so many feelings! Seriously, the house and the waiting hopelessly and just Jim and his confession! This was basically the greatest fic ever and it was amazing to marathon through even with stupid things like life getting in the way. ♥♥♥
