You know those fics long fics that you read where, from the very start, you know it’ll be good and addicting and you just want to stay up all night to keep reading and you’re disappointed that you actually have to sleep and work and have a life? Yeah, this is totally one of those fics for me. ♥ The sad part is that it’s still a WIP. =( The last update (chapter 45) was earlier this year though, so I’m hoping that it’ll be finished someday.

But enough rambling, onto talking about the fic! I’ll admit that I love mpreg when it’s done well, but most of the time it’s pretty bad (but I read it anyway, lol). This fic definitely falls into the amazing mpreg fic category though. Basically teenage Spock meets Kirk and ends up sleeping with him in the first chapter before going back home to Vulcan, then finds out he’s pregnant. Jim doesn’t show up for the whole first half of the fic besides the first chapter and the interlude, but I actually really like how the author chose to focus on Spock’s pregnancy, his relationship between his parents, and how they all deal with what’s happened. The second half is set in the “present” when they meet again in Starfleet and it’s everything you can hope for with the meeting and not knowing and the eventual confrontation once Kirk finds out.

Basically this fic is super addictive and I just kept wanting more and more. I shouldn’t admit it, but I was totally sneak-reading at work and everything (’cause, of course, I discovered this fic last week on a weekday and couldn’t just power through as if it was a weekend, lol). As I continued through the chapters, I was like NOOOOOO because I knew I was getting closer and closer to the end of what has been posted so far, lol, and I hate that feeling. XP Now it’s time to wait (im)patiently for more to come and to hope that when I finally get around to checking on this in the future, it’ll be done. XD
