OMG, this was wonderful! I love the characterizations and how strong yet unsure they were. There’s this melancholy tone to this whole thing, but with just enough hopefulness mixed in — it’s so lovely.

He hooks his thumbs into her pockets and puts his chin on top of her head. He likes to do that when he’s thinking, and she likes it too.
