I love The Hoyden’s characterization. Also, the fact that this is marriage of convenience is total win. ♥ I love how it all started because Iruka adopted Naruto first and how the relationship progressed (backwards!) between Iruka and Kakashi. ♥ Also, GAI! I love Kakashi inviting Gai to his wedding (because of course he would!) and Gai’s reactions to Kakashi actually getting married and how they just knew each others clothes because they are total BFFs forever, obviously. ♥♥

Oh goodness, THIS! ♥__________♥ There’s just something so earnest and awesome about Gai and I am absolutely charmed by him. The characterization is wonderful and totally spot on — I love that Gai is so Gai, but how it’s not over the top. I also love the way that the relationship between Iruka and Gai developed and how it was slow and sweet and absolutely lovely. ♥ The friendship between Naruto and Lee is totally adorable as well!

I can’t believe I haven’t rec’d this before because this is seriously one of my favorite KakaIru fics! I don’t even know how many times I’ve reread this one, lol. I love their first meeting and the progression of their relationship. My heart hurt for Iruka with his pining and then what happened when they finally “met” for real, but the ending was wonderful and totally soothed my heart. ♥

Obviously I had the urge to go and reread The Hoyden’s older Naruto fics, LOL, after reading the more recent ficlets. XP I actually hadn’t read this before since I moved on from the Naruto fandom before this was posted. It’s kind of weird because I never did catch up with the anime/manga from when I fell behind somewhere around episode 120-ish, lol, but whatever. I loved the characterizations and Iruka’s history and just everything. ♥

The slow-building of the relationships in this fic is awesome. I like how Iruka semi-adopts Naruto, and Naruto learning to cook, the later, Kakashi bumming dinner off them. The fight between Kakashi and Iruka and then later, the eventual start of their relationship. Overall, it’s super cute and definitely worth reading. ♥

Oh Iruka..! The way their relationship is implied in the beginning is kinda heartbreaking for Iruka, but it’s awesome by the end. XD I love KakaIru so much and this fic is just so cute, how Iruka never asked for anything because he thought he’d be rejected but then he was all, fuck that, and GAH. LOVE.

[September 25, 2011]: I just reread this fic today and I still love it! It’s no surprise that I like parallel universe fics, so this, of course, definitely appeals to me. I just love how different the two worlds are, but how they’re still alike at the same time. NGL, I also love the ridiculous angst that comes about with this kind of scenario. XP I would have loved to see how the other Naruto handled things as well, but that’s mostly because I wanted to see Sasuke’s interaction with the other Naruto. XP
