Summary: He loved Elizabeth, truly he did. He’d loved her since she’d rescued him so many years ago. But he didn’t seem to be *in love* with her any more. Since their marriage, things had changed. Things that he used to love doing were not possible any more. He had to dress in nobleman’s clothes, and he found them stiff and starched and wholly uncomfortable. He absolutely refused to wear the undergarments his valet laid out for him. They were far too restrictive.
