Okay, I think this is my favorite fic from Tira Nog, haha. I just like how Harry and Snape are characterized, and how they interact. XD It’s pretty funny how Harry just picks Snape up at the bar, then he can’t stay away after it. XP And how they end up having a relationship, even though they went backwards about it and all, haha. I think it’s the fact that things just kind of feel into place and it’s just one of those things that weren’t discussed, but just happened — that’s kind of cute to me. XP Yeah, I think I just like the fluffy-ness of this fic. =)

Title: I Won’t Send Roses

I really like the characterization in this. Though it’s a bit melancholy, it’s still kind of sweet. The pacing in the fic works well — I just like how Harry is so persistant and Snape is relunctant, but is slowly letting in without even realizing it. =) The rose oil was a nice touch, and the ending, when Snape thinks that he might consider kissing Harry in public one day… *sigh* So sweet! XP

I really like how Severus is shown dealing with the returning to adult-hood after the events in A Nick in Time. Seeing all his insecurities and the way he’s trying in his relationships between Ron and Hermione, and how he deals with his realized crush on Harry.

His crush on Harry is so cute, haha. And then, when Harry starts seeing Severus as a potential someone and yeah. Cuteness. XP

I felt bad for Severus everytime he starts thinking bad about himself — so little self-confidence that it just hurts! And even though it was revealed why in his backstory, and it makes sense and everything, it still bugged me a little… And then, there’s also the fact that I’m not really a fan of bottom!Snape, lol. Or top!Harry for that matter, so I guess there will always be a little something that kind of says ehhh to me me, since that’s just not my personal preference. XP That doesn’t stop me from enjoying well-written fics though, and this is definitely a good one for Snarry fans. =)

Anyway, when Harry and Severus finally got together in this, I felt so bad for Severus afterwards because, even though I knew Harry was about to say something nice, he still laughed before he said the good part and GAH. Poor Severus! And when he thinks that his relationship with the Weasleys is over because of course they’ll take Harry’s side totally made my heart clench! And yeah. There were a couple more parts in the fic where my heart was hurting for poor Severus, but of course it all works out and yeah. *love* READ IT! XD

Okay, I’m not really a fan of Snarry (I might have mentioned it before), but occasionally I make exceptions, lol. I’m not even sure WHERE I found this fic, but somehow I did because it was saved under “TO READ” in my favorites and I read it while I was in Indianapolis for a convention a few months ago and yeah. LOVE!

Anyways, this is one of those classic de-aging fics. The general premise is that Harry and Severus wake up one day as seven year olds and Hermione and Ron end up taking care of them.

I really like the relationship between young!Harry and young!Snape and their friendship together. It’s just so cute and yeah. *heart* I also like the family dynamic between Harry, Severus, Ron, and Hermione, and also how Severus grows on Ron. =)

As for Severus, my heart just kind of goes out to him since he’s so suspicious of people’s motives and he’s just so self-conscious! I know that’s just how Tira Nog kind of characterized him for the fic, but it just kind of bugs me — not a lot, but just kind of that something-in-the back-of-your-mind way, if that makes any sense, lol.

Technically, this is a gen fic with a hint of Snarry at the end, so if Snarry isn’t your thing, it might still appeal to you. There is, however, a Snarry sequel to this fic, which I will be rec’ing next, haha.

Okay, I think this fic is just so charming, lol. It’s very simple and fluffy and I just love it so much! *heart* I’m not usually a Snarry fan, but I do read it sometimes and yeah, this is just awesome. *LOVE*

I liked how Harry and Snape’s relationship is so understated in the fic — it’s all implied instead of explained in detail. I think that kind of adds more to their relationship, that it’s not all out there, but that it’s just there.

It’s kind of like the difference between those very PDA (public display of affection) couples that make you feel awkward being around and the content couples that are comfortable to hang out around. XP

Okay, so this is kind of one of my favorite parts, lol:

He begins to analyze his own classes, and from Transfigurations to Divination he takes extensive notes on the style and order in which his lessons are delivered to him. Most of his professors don’t notice the difference in his classroom presence, and those that do (namely McGonagall) commend him on his improvement.

But one class stands out above the others as an example of careful planning and meticulous structure. It is this class Harry decides to model in his own lesson planning.

And so he finds himself one breezy Hogsmeade Saturday knocking on the door of Professor Snape’s private chambers, offering a timid smile as Snape opens his door and sneers.

“What are you looking for here,” he says coldly. His dark gaze flicks up and down the hallway. “Your friends are hiding, no doubt looking for a bit of sophomoric amusement.” He glares at Harry. “What’s the joke, then? Going to try to hex me? Mock my mother, perhaps? Well, guess what, Mister Potter – I am like rubber and you are like glue; whatever you say will bounce off of me and stick onto you.”

Seriously, I totally LOL’d at this. *loves Snape*

And then the part where Harry suggests they should get married..! GAH! SO CUTE!
