Oh gosh, this fic just hit me in the heart. I know it’s been a little over a year since they split, but in a way, I’m still not over it. I just really like how the split was handled here, because no matter how amiable they want to be, they’re going to be hurt, they’re going to fight. And I wish they were still talking / hanging out after the split like they did in the fic, but from the recent TYV interviews (well, the few that I’ve actually looked at), they don’t seem to be talking much and it just breaks my heart. =( And like, I think one of the best parts in this fic was the part with Brent, because it really showed them growing up. I don’t know, I kind of have a love-hate relationship with well-written divorce fics — love them because of the emotional impact, but at them for the exact same reason. And, of course, this one was wonderful and heartbreaking and hopeful.
