I love how the society in this fic was developed, how everyone is so cinical about sexual orientation and having to apply to be in a relationship. A part of me kind of cringes at the idea of government dictating such a personal aspect of life, but it’s an amazing idea to explore.

I love the reactionsand the subtle devestation to the results, because it was hard and oh, my heart clenched (even though I knew what was coming). And then there was Ryan and Brendon and they were wonderful.

He sees Jon in the line of a model’s shoulder, in the way a man’s fingers are wrapped around another’s arm, a cock, the strong, stable planes of a back, and he wants so much that he’s dizzy from it, and irrevocably smitten. He wonders if it hit Ryan like this too, this overwhelming tsunami of desire and affection and love, and then thinks of Brendon and guesses it probably did.

This was wonderful. ♥

This is the most adorable fic EVER, for serious! XD I swear, I’ve read it a bazillion times because it’s just that cute! XD I love Spencer and his adorable crush and Jon and his flirting and Brendon being super energetic and Ryan being his best friend. I love that Brendon and Ryan help Spencer prep for the date and the Miss Manners tips and just the absolute cuteness of this fic. AWESOME.

And then there was the sequel! GAH! EVEN MORE FLUFF, WHAT! SO AWESOME, I’M NOT EVEN JOKING! XD And okay, best line EVER:

I’m like, I’m like a piece of gum that stuck in the soles of your shoes and then melted in the hot sun, Spence, I’m going nowhere.

This fic is kind of amazing. I still remember the first time I read it back when it was first posted and feeling I got from the fic; it totally hasn’t changed. It’s one of the fics that just sticks with you. I loved the feeling of the fic — it’s not exactly angst, but it’s dark and a bit dirty and it kind of twists your heart in the best way. I love the idea of a postcard journal and his recorded memories on them, how he felt about Brendon asking and contrasting that with Jon not asking. I ached for Spencer when he remembers his dislike for cameras, how he’s not really secure in his new figure, and how exposed he was with Jon. And then when Brendon and Jon were laughing over pictures and the first thought was that oh, laughing at me, and my heart, my heart! Seriously, this fic has to be one of the best fics ever.

This was great. I love the three stories and how the scenarios were so different, but Jon’s characterization stayed the same. I like the soft and quiet feel of the first one with Spencer, how everything was just in the moment. And then the second one with groupie!Ryan was so cute. And then there was the last one with hairdresser!Brendon and that one was totally my favorite because Brendon was just so cute. =)

The end though.. =( At least it was kind of hopeful. I’d like to believe that Spencer goes to the concert and something happy happens in the end, but that’s just me wanting a happy ending, lol. XP

I really enjoyed the slow relationship build-up in this fic. I loved how Jon and Spencer fell into each other so easily in the beginning, how cute they were, but then afterwards, Spencer pulled away and I kind of felt bad for Jon because how sucky is that? And then later, everyone thinks Spencer doesn’t like Jon. =( Of course they fall back into each other and it’s so cute how insecure they are in the beginning, asking each other if things were okay everytime. And then it slowly transitions to being comfortable, familiar, and it’s so lovely and then it ENDED! WHAT! I wish there was more more MORE. And also, Ryan and Brendon in the background, they were so cute and it just added to the overall greatness of this fic. XP
