I really like how this deals with Deryn’s gender issues and how uncomfortable she is at being forced back into skirts and her worry about Alek possibly expecting her to stay in dress for him. I also like how Alek is comfortable crossdressing, in contrast to Deryn, because it just feels like another role he has to play. The plot was compelling, the quarintine frogs were gross, and the conversation after everything was lovely (especially the no disguises at home part ♥).
