O.M.G! This fic, this fic! I love Patrick’s voice in this and everything, it just felt so real. Like, I can’t really remember what FOB was doing in 2008 (mostly because I wasn’t reading bandslash at the time), but reading it now, when FOB is taking a break (broke-up? I don’t even know what they’re calling it these days), is kind of surreal. There are so many moments in this fic where it just kind of felt real, I dunno. I liked the format, with the interviews and the blog entries interspersed with the narrative. It made the story so much richer — and I’m glad that it was gen because it was was more real (seriously, I could imagine it happening like this, I dunno). And the fic in general is just so rich and it hurts and it makes you nostalgic and yeah. I kind of did a FOB marathon when reading because of the nostalgia. Definitely a must-read.
