This is ridiculously cute, lol.

Attempting to make social small talk with Touya Kouyo.

“You and Akira are getting along well, I trust,” Touya’s father says, which Hikaru’s brain interprets very clearly as, “Have you been making blatant sexual advances towards my son and picturing him naked in the shower like I know you want to?” to which Hikaru answers, firmly, “No, sir!”

And then flushes and says, “Yes, sir!” Hikaru barely stops himself from wringing his hands. “I mean, no, I, I mean. Yes. I mean, we get along. Good. Well. Sir.”

For a horrifying second, Hikaru thinks that Touya’s mother is going to hug him.

She just settles for patting him on the leg, though, as Touya’s father says, almost sympathetically, “He’ll come around, Hikaru-kun. Be patient.”

“Should I try to shrink the towels in the wash again?” Touya’s mother asks, almost to herself.

Hikaru wants to die.
