Summary: It is a week after their relationship began, and the delay in Akira’s telling his parents has less to do with an actual desire to have a week’s time and more to do with the fact that his parents are away in China, as they are more often than not these days. To be fair, if they had not been, it would have been more likely that he would have felt like he needed some time to think things over before talking about them, but even then he is fairly sure that he would feel like he was holding out on them.

I really like the contrast between the Hikaru and Akira’s family lifes (and interaction with people in general) and how Akira realizes and decides to do something about it. It’s just so sad when you really thing about it, how isolated Hikaru actually is. It just breaks my heart. =( Luckily he has Akira in his life to balance him out. ♥
